Having grown up with a carnut Father, the love of automobiles was instilled in my dna.
My Father has always owned sports cars and we still have his Austin Healey 3000.
I have been photographing and painting cars for many years as a hobby and also active in the car hobby as the volunteer webmaster for the British Columbia Hot Rod Association and the National Association of Automobile Clubs of Canada. The NAACC.CA is active in protecting the car hobby in Canada and has strong ties to SEMA, FIVA and the HVA.
Starting in 2001 creating automotive montage portrait of a few famous racecars, I took my skills learned from years of photography and watercolor painting to create works of art that had only recently been unavailable to the average computer user. My interest in watercolor painting had been promoted and nurtured by my Aunt, Mary Lou Crerar who is a well known artist. www.maryloucrerar.com
The discipline needed to create watercolor has helped my composition skills and the blending of objects to create montage portraits that truly capture the essence of any car, boat or plane.
Photos may be taken anywhere as long as overhead objects that reflect down on the vehicle are kept to a minimum, as the background of the photos are cut out. Mostly created by photos taken by myself, supplied high quality images can be used. I will guide your photographer to capture the necessary elements.
I look forward to working with you to create a truly memorable piece of art. |
